Organizing Your Home

Organizing Your Home

Most of Sharpe Organizing Solutions’ clients have gone through (or are going through) a major life change. Perhaps they have had a baby, moved, amalgamated families, have had a death in the family, gone back to work or started a new job, or perhaps they are simply ready to get organized. The change could have happened last month or 10 years ago, or it may be approaching soon. Whatever the case, it is a change that requires time to adjust to. Many people feel embarrassed about the state of their homes, but please, be gentle with yourself and remember that 8 in 10 Canadians are disorganized in some area of their lives (POC National Survey results).

People are often simply too busy to deal with major life changes at the time they are happening and may feel overwhelmed by the unexpected organizational challenges that accompany many of these changes.

Having children is a constant life change. As they grow, their needs change, and as parents, we are constantly adjusting to the new stages they are entering (not to mention the clothing that no longer fits). Children can be little darling mess bombs, and teaching them the tools to stay organized is often a challenge.

Simplifying your life can have many benefits. One major benefit is that it naturally helps to change your perspective on what you can actually accomplish and at the same time, allows you to enjoy the things in life that have the most meaning to you. Organizing your home can save you time and money, giving you the freedom to spend your time thinking about things in life that you enjoy instead of the demands of life.
